#33 A pony!
Monday, September 11th, 2006So as I’m sure you can see we have a brand new site! I felt like Joomla! my old CMS simply wasn’t doing a good enough job with the archives and I just don’t have the time to write code right now to make Joomla! work the way I want so I converted over to Wordpress using the awesome Comicpress theme. Many thanks to Tyler Martin, the creator of this wonderful little theme. To make it all spiff I’ve created a new banner, which I’m quite fond of, and made some pretty colors and all. The archives are accessible at the top and over on the right. Check it out, they work beutifully. They are searchable and all. Also the page tagger dealy is built in over there on the top right of the side column, you tag a page and when you come back you’ll be on the same page so you can read my oh so extensive archives in multiple sittings without losing your place. In the switch over I noticed that I had mis-numbered some of the comics, so we’re actually on #33 instead of #32 like I thought. Ok, ok it’s time for me to get some sleep! Yeah, it has it’s charms.. and for certain types of sites it’s outstanding. It was just going to take to much customization to run a webcomic effectively. Not to mention that a lot of the option for getting it to run a comic well involved some form of Wordpress anyway

Yuck, so I’m at work and notice that IE obviously doesn’t support .png transparency. Yea… guess I’ll resave the banner as a gif when I get home.

Were you one of those kids, who always wanted a Pony??? (My Little Pony’s and now this!)
I love the new site by the way! Its much more… comfortable.

Glad you like it. I’m much happier with it’s new layout as well.
You know I never really wanted a pony per se. though I did ride one or two when I was a kid and rather liked it.. until I got on one of my friends ponies that went ape shit and ran me all over their farm and like up onto concrete and nearly killed the both of us.. up till that point I was pretty cool with ponies.. now.. eh
